What size gas strut do I need for a storage box lid?Gas struts take the weight off your hands so lids stay open safely and close without slamming.- Measure your lid weight and choose struts rated slightly above that load for best hold.- Match the extended length to your hinge distance for full support when open.- Install one on each side
